Vocals

This song has a nice, calm vibe. It is easy to get the chorus in your head. Nothing too complicated.

Music

It feels cohesive. When I actually follow the lead guitar, it seems almost bluesy, and melds into the song. The most solo parts are my least favourite.

Lyrics

I think these lyrics make me think of the Dead Marsh from the Lord Of The Rings. That is the visual, but the feel makes me very relaxed; almost lullaby-esque. So relaxing, you just want to dive right into the Marsh.

They could be speaking to a whole bunch of loss. They are not be able to turn it off, and not think about it. Or maybe that you are seeing their own mortality.

I wear this badge of sorrow and despair
