Vocal

The vocal isn't a style I personally like; it feels piercing just to be piercing. I can't make it out, either. The singing felt weird 1/3 of the way through, and every time after.

Music

I can't get into the movement of the song. It feels repetitive. The added layer, at about 5:35 in, helps but doesn't get me there. Just not my thing.

Lyrics

To go along with the name of the song, I just think of someone who has given up. They are almost laying under the curtain of life, as it comes up.
