I think the vocals were kept to a minimum level of enthusiasm. They were alright in this song.

Nothing stood out about the song. It isn't very memorable for me.

Lyrics

I think this is about things always needing to change and be better and bigger and more exciting in this life. 

In old bones in the soil
We plant a garden
We are harvesting progress
The glow of a worm inside a child's eye

These words seem to be indicating that even our children don't measure up. They need to be planted and harvested and improved.
