Though I don't like this rap style, I can tell it is authentic.

Music

The music actually goes well with the vocal. It builds the feeling of passion.

Lyrics

These lyrics are so true! These hateful ideas are passed down to young kids. People are like a pack of wild animals that jump on board and try to bring people down. I have heard so much racism in my lifetime.

In the area I live in, there are many Native people. Many friends and family are Native. Yet the area is racist against Native people. It is almost socially acceptable to talk negatively about them; people don't have the same respect for them. It is so wrong! Recently, there has been extra fighting and lack of support for Natives grieving the loss of their families in residential schools. 

With all the influences I have grown up with, it wasn't until I was an adult that I realized just how privileged I have been as a white woman. The many things that I didn't have to deal with just because I had white skin.
