Vocals

I feel like if you are into this style of vocal, this is really good. I like that he does the screamy thing, but it isn't enough for me. He can sing, but not in the way that I like. I think if you put this with pop music, it would work well.

Music

The keyboard/technical aspect is very strong in this one, but it is done in a way I don't like. The guitar weaves around the keyboard nicely. Just, overall, it feels upbeat.

Lyrics

These lyrics are very emotional and I am sure they have helped the band and others get through loss. It seems to be referencing a death that is stuck in someones mind.

I find the deaths of important people in my life were so different, depending on who the person was to me. My sister was someone I felt I needed to protect, my dad was someone who protected me, my grandpa was the calm in the storm. Friends were people I could connect with. Each death hurts in different ways.

This song is speaking of someone who had a very supportive role that the person leaned on heavily.
