I don't understand why this is so tranquil. Hoping this is the ballad of the album. I guess the positive is that the vocal sounds like it is effortless. Halfway through, when there was some screaming, it sounded like Head from Korn when he went on his own and did some vocals. Not what I want to hear in this song, though.

Music

It isn't a surprise that the guitar stands out, thanks to Richie Faulkner. But what a boring song to ask him to play in. This isn't the direction I was hoping this band would go. I see this as a regression yet again. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, since Ryan said they wanted to go a calmer direction. I think my mom could listen to this.

Lyrics

I think the lyrics are about the prideful attitude that you don't need anyone's help. You want to be alone. In this case, it is about not wanting to think or believe there is a God.
