Izegrim
Beheaded By Trust
Retraumatized
Vocals
I like that this vocalist can do the scream and growl. It falls short in regard to passion for me though. I would be very proud if I could accomplish this type of vocal. I am just comparing her to an ideal voice, in my opinion.
Music
The music felt really predictable. It is repetitive. Even when the guitar part kicked in, it felt lacklustre.
It contained some elements I often like, such as double kick.
Lyrics
I did my best to write some lyrics I heard. I couldn't find the official ones. The lyrics are very clear that someone continues to endure a painful experience or is traumatized by something from their past. Obviously, both things can re traumatize.
It makes me think of a documentary I watched about a woman who was physically abused daily. She was choked and punched. This song kind of reminds me of a scenario such as that. She had run screaming down the street she lived on many times asking for help and no one helped her.
I don't like how this ends with the person deciding to kill themselves, but I imagine having a song imagining these things is better than the act itself!
Too much pressure, too much pain, Too many tears I have cried
I tried but no one listens, screamed but no one cares
relive this hell, every night
I will never be okay
