I think the vocal has just enough rasp in the higher parts, with some lower parts to change it up.

Music

The music has a melodic, relaxing affect that I think is a result of the method of guitar playing. There are some hints of jaggedness with the blast beats drum parts. I think this mixture works. 

Lyrics

These lyrics make me think of how some peope think they are invincible. They forget that we all die. 

For some the reality has been present right in front of them, and for others, it suddenly appears out of nowhere.

These throes, our plight
Bound by mortal sight
Still we think ourselves chainless
These dreams are fast
Our glow will fade and die
Still we think ourselves timeless

I like the use of Danish. It adds a demenison to the lyrics. This part further speaks to the temporary state we are in:
