Vocals

The raspy vocal is alright. Not much variance. I find it a little choppy and more like talking, and that is just something I don't enjoy. So, I think a different vocal would have been preferable, for me personally. 

Music

The music has that epic feel, and I am mixed about it. At times I really like it, and others not so much. I actually thought the music was ending about 4 minutes in the first time I heard it. This mixture of symphonic and black elements in this song is weird for me. Such as at around 5:30 in. It doesn't make me feel a sense of moving forward that I like. It just feels busy. I think I would prefer them separate from each other. Though at times, like around 10 minutes in, the music is just right for me. So, I am mixed about it. 

Lyrics

I think this is literally taking us to a fantasy land where someone is journeying and having to fight for their life. I can certainly appreciate some of these tales/stories. And obviously we can compare our life to them, too. Our life is like a journey through the unknown. And in particular it makes me think of times I personally have had to persevere.
